We are delighted to partner with Robert Owen to provide a holiday club for children aged 2 to 4 years (children do not need to attend Robert Owen Nursery School). We have been operating holiday provision and wraparound care in the local community for 12 years and our aim is to ensure all the children in our care are happy, safe, stimulated and welcomed. At our latest Ofsted inspection in February 2024, the inspector noted that ‘Relationships between staff and children are exceptionally warm and caring’.
We run holiday club at Robert Owen during October half term, one week at Easter and the last two weeks of August.

What does holiday club look like? We are based in Fir Tree classroom. Breakfast is provided in the morning (cereals, toast, fruit) and we ask that your child brings a packed lunch. We provide a healthy snack of fresh fruit and vegetables in the afternoon. We follow the structure of the Robert Owen day with in and out free play, story time, and fun and engaging activities for the children including cooking, dancing, constructing and drawing as well as themed activities based around the time of year such as water play during the summer.

I require childcare to 5pm/6pm … No problem! We are happy to bring your children to Halstow Primary School SE10 0LD at 3.30pm, the end of the Robert Owen Holiday club day, to join our older children up to 6pm. Here your child will play with other children who are in reception class as well as others. Please take a look here for more information.

We know very well that the quality of care of your children is paramount. We have a very experienced team: Amy, who works in Palm Class at Robert Owen, a team of nursery practitioners, and I look after the children and we ensure every child feels happy, is safe and has fun.
About me
My background is in teaching at primary and secondary schools in London, and before that I worked in banking. I have long been a fan of Robert Owen and my 3 children all attended the nursery until they started school. I was a parent governor then a co-opted governor at Robert Owen until I started The Holly Tree Club in 2013.
