We are open from 3pm to 6.30pm Monday to Thursday (and Fridays to 6pm) term-time.

We collect children at the end of the school day Monday to Friday from Halstow School and Millennium Primary School and escort them to one of two places:

• The Bell House, a large building separate from the school but within the school grounds and the bottom playground for years 3 -6, ;
• the ground floor hall of Halstow School and the top playground for reception, years 1 and 2

Having two separate indoor and outdoor areas for the older and younger children at after school club is wonderful as it allows for age-appropriate differentiated play.  But, of course, we are one big happy family, and siblings and friends are welcome to visit each other!

We also welcome home-schooled children at our after school and holiday club: we have found  the socialisation benefits all of the children in our care.  Please get in touch.

On arrival, we provide a substantial snack.  Here’s our delicious menu as chosen by the children:

We promote free play: we have lots of different games, arts and crafts and activities inside and outside and the children are free to choose what they would like to do.  We play football, tennis, rugby, running games, create obstacle courses and we have our own Club Sports Day!

At 5pm it is circle time for the younger children and we all sit down together and read a story, have show and tell and some raisins or a cracker.  It is a special time of day when children from reception, and years 1 and 2 all sit and listen to each other.  Often a child will play a piece on their musical instrument, or show us what they have made at club that day.  Many times we have been treated to a play or a display of gymnastics.  We love to hear what everyone is doing at the weekend or during the holidays and it’s wonderful to watch the children grow in confidence and contribute. We celebrate every child’s birthday with a cake and respect all festivals throughout the year.

Collection after extracurricular activities

We are happy to collect children after their extracurricular club has finished.  Currently we collect children at 4.15pm, 4.20pm, 4.30pm, 5pm, and 5.15pm!

On collection, the children are offered a substantial healthy snack, as above, and drink provided by us before they join their friends to play.

Pickup time 

Reception, years 1 and 2: Please come to the top Kemsing Road gate.  There will always be someone there to greet you.

Years 3 to 6: Please come to the Bell House gate (the lower blue gate on Halstow Road) and press the buzzer.

We bring the children to the gate ready to go home at the time you have chosen, or come and collect your children whenever is convenient for you!  And we arrange things so that you can pick up siblings at the same gate to save you time – just get in touch!
